Funeral Costs
There are three areas to be considered when budgeting for a funeral: Professional Fees, Selection of the Coffin and Outgoing Costs.

In order to create a truly unforgettable service you should try to find a Funeral Planner that you feel empathy with. This is the key to organising a service that can answer your wishes and start to heal the pain of your loss. At Just Cremations we are confident we can introduce you to such a person, but if you find someone at another leading firm that you feel this empathy with, you should appoint them.

At Just Cremations we tailor our services to suit your budget and the amount you spend is our least concern. What matters most is ensuring that we create a memorable funeral that is a fitting tribute to the person you are saying farewell to. If you have any concerns on cost we provide advice on allowances and rebates, and we are always available to give advice without obligation.

If you would like more information, please fill out our online enquiry form and one of our staff will be in contact with you.
Professional Fees
These include the administration of the funeral, transfer fees, hire of the hearse, limousine, number of attendants required, memorial cards, etc.

If you compare the Professional Fees of most reputable firms in WA you will find they are quite similar, usually between $2,500 and $3,500 + GST. Any variation is normally due to differences in numbers of attendants, additional vehicles, etc.
Selection of the Coffin
There are many different types of coffins and caskets available in Australia. These range in price from around $1,800 to over $40,000 for imported caskets. A recent innovation is the environmentally friendly LifeArt coffins, an Australian concept that is now being exported overseas. These are available in a selection of styles that can be further personalised to reflect the spirit of the individual.

Seasons is the sole distributor for LifeArt coffins in Western Australia and a Seasons Funeral Planner can show you photographs of our complete range of coffins and caskets at the appropriate time.
Outgoing Costs
These cover the death certificate, embalming, minister or celebrant and cremation permit/cemetery fee, as well as the coffin or casket (usually the largest single expense in most funerals). They also cover the venue hire, death and funeral notices, catering, marquee, music, flowers, video/audio recordings, flowers, monuments, keepsakes, etc.

Outgoing Costs can fluctuate considerably depending on what is involved, but in most instances these expenditures normally add $3,000 to $5,000, bringing the average cost to somewhere between $5,500 and $8,500 + GST.
Costs of Different Funeral Directors
Any funeral director can trim its price to less than $5,500, however, by adding other services you can easily increase this cost to far more than $8,500. The choice is always yours, but in reality cost will probably only have a small bearing on your decision because the variation between reputable firms is not that great.
